Preserving Photographs
Preserving photographs is an important part of our mission to document local history. Photos help us to remember the people who built and lived in our community. In an ongoing effort, our volunteers scan donated photos and store the originals in archival packaging to preserve them for future generations. Our collection to date includes many school photos from Plain Township and New Albany, documenting the children, teachers, and buildings from years past. We are always looking for more historic photos, particularly those in which the subjects are identified and/or dated. If you have photos from New Albany’s past that you’d like to share or donate, please contact us!
